Salary: $64,000 - $67,000 This position is assigned to Vandenberg Space Force Base, California.
This position is not eligible for telecommuting. Essential Functions
Collaborate within project teams to provide network solutions for engineering projects.
Collaborate with project teams in the planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment.
Collaborate with internal and government stakeholders to assure system designs comply with requirements/best practices.
Apply methods and techniques to assist in the development, implementation, and documentation of architecture change recommendations and CONOPS change recommendations.
Other duties as assigned. Required Skills
Strong organizational skills with ability to effectively manage competing demands, prioritize appropriately, and oversee multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
Strong at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work well under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Required Experience
Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) or equivalent combination of experience and education. Zero to two years’ experience in software engineering, mathematics or physics applications.
Experience designing and implementing network infrastructures in secure environments.
Knowledge of Internet Protocols, communication protocols, data and network security.
Experience working with design principles and applications.
Network certification preferred.
System and network device scripting experience, preferred.
Automated device configuration tools experience, preferred. Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Ability to travel 10%.
Flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship or U.S. naturalization.
Telecommuting could be possible after initial training period.
