Manufacturing Engineer

Ankeny, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Ankeny, Iowa. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will provide daily manufacturing engineering support for John Deere Des Moines Works CNC machining operations.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

  • Establish routings, methods, layouts, tools, costs, methods documentation, quality plans and labor standards for revisions to current operations and/or new parts or programs of moderate scope.
  • Provide support and troubleshooting for current operations.
  • Investigate, gather, and analyze data and implement solutions.
  • Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas of moderate scope.
  • Apply electronic tools across a broad range of applications, including e-builds, modeling, and simulations.
  • Develop and implement plans to support lean manufacturing through the Deere Production System of moderate scope.
  • Designs operations layouts.
  • Improve material flow and material presentation.
  • Leads team studies related to capacity, energy, productivity, and efficiency of moderate scope.
  • Lead analysis, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Analyze and make modifications to existing performance pay plans.
  • Assist in development of baseline data for new performance pay plans.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering field. Manager is open to recent graduate candidates.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machining and have manufacturing experience.
  • CNC Programming Experience, CAD/CAM Experience.
  • Experience with vertical milling, horizontal milling, and turning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Creo, AutoCAD or Inventor experience.
  • G-code programming, perishable tool selection, machine trouble shooting, & fixture design.
