Springfield, IL - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.pr-engservices.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Springfield, IL. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will support engineering efforts to develop new products, identify and resolve current product and legacy issues as an individual contributor. Review all product designs to ensure compliance with all departmental Product Development processes and procedures including Agency compliance requirements. Function and work independently while partnering with other department peers to design, develop and implement quality solutions. Be responsible for partnering with other EE Project Engineers to effectively utilize other hardware resources including techs and lab resources.

Duties:

  • Electronics Design/Development
  • AC/DC circuit design
  • Circuit analysis
  • New Product Development
  • Prototype Development
  • Root Cause Failure analysis of Product Field returns
  • Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
  • Product Validation
  • Value Engineering/Improvement
  • Component Obsolescence
  • Test Engineering
  • Data Analysis

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • 3 years' experience in electronic product development
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office
  • Familiarity with PCB layout, schematic capture, circuit simulation, prototyping
  • Demonstrated project management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience interfacing with external contract manufacturing resources and suppliers is a must
  • Demonstrated communication and facilitation skills
  • Self-motivated and capable of working at a high level with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Experience developing beverage dispensing products or building electromechanical systems is a plus
