We are currently seeking a dedicated Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our winning team at our Fresno, CA branch. The Quality Assurance Supervisor performs all functions needed to maintain quality management system, food safety, and SQF programs which assure a foundation for product excellence and provide a basis for long-term continuous improvement of food safety culture. The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for demonstrating our Producers Dairy Core Values and carrying out our purpose of Nourishing Lives.
The major component of this position is supporting production operations, spending time on the floor, and analyzing data from the lab. The person in this role will make suggestions to Operations and Quality Assurance Department based on the batching data, statistical process control factors, packaging integrity parameters and product specifications. This position will oversee the input and output laboratory data and ensures that the quality control sampling program is adequately implemented. The person in this role will provide technical support to Q.C. technicians and production personnel as needed.
Responsibilities:
This position contributes successfully to our operations because you will:

• Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
• Lead the effort to obtain and maintain the highest level of SQF Certification (GFSI).
• Ensure product specifications are met and production is consistent with approved product.
• Inspect quality of all raw ingredients and inspect consistency of the finished product.
• Ensure that company product “hold” policies and procedures are communicated to plant staff and that the plant adheres to the procedures. Recommends, as appropriate, the suspension of product or the release of product when quality standards are not achieved.
• Verify that production department performs in accordance with specifications, that code dates are accurate, quantity and weights are verified, and cleanliness is observed.
• Assist employees in maintaining a clean and well-organized work area.
• Participate in GMP, sanitation, and safety inspections throughout the production departments and issue the corrective action plan to correct any identified deficiencies.
• Conduct food safety and internal quality audits.
• Ensure that the entire facility is being strictly observed for proper sanitation, maintenance and GMP’s (i.e., parking lot, trash area, dry warehouses, vault, employee lockers, etc.)
• Verify and validate ongoing procedures for shipping and receiving quality inspections.
• Manage all process control documentation, review, and approve daily.
• Train the operation personnel for proper quality control techniques and adherence to SOPs.
• Identify areas of opportunities in Quality Control Systems, and work to provide resolutions and continues improvement.
• Responsible for conducting Food Safety and Quality training.
• Responsible for monitoring food safety culture progress, inspecting workstations for quality ad good manufacturing practices; evaluate training success.
• Maintains, monitors and distributes assigned training materials and SOPs to team members.
• Coordinates general and technical training to effectively implement the Standard Operating Procedures and Quality rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must have high school diploma or GED
• Must have a BS in Food Science or Biological Sciences
• Must have 5 years of experience in Food industry
• Must remain at job-site during training periods.
• Must have knowledge in Food Safety
• Must be HACCP certified
• Must have SQF experience
• Knowledge of food safety practices is preferred.
• Must be detail oriented is required.
• Knowledge of production and plant processes and procedures
