PROCEPT BioRobotics Corporation is Hiring a Training Manager Near REDWOOD CITY, CA

PROCEPT BioRobotics is a surgical robotics company enabling better patient care by developing transformative solutions in urology. With an initial focus on BPH, the company’s AQUABEAM® Robotic System delivering Aquablation therapy, is the first FDA-cleared, automated surgical robot for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS) due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Aquablation therapy combines real-time, multi-dimensional imaging, automated robotics and heat-free waterjet ablation for targeted, controlled, and immediate removal of prostate tissue. Aquablation therapy offers predictable and reproducible outcomes, independent of prostate anatomy, prostate size or surgeon experience. 

SUMMARY
As we continue to grow and streamline our manufacturing operations, Procept is seeking a motivated Training Manager to lead the production training program. This person will be responsible for identifying and monitoring the training needs of the organization and be able to design, plan and implement training programs, policies, and procedures to fill those needs. The ideal candidate will excel in a demanding and fast-paced environment where they will work as part of a strong, agile and highly motivated team to accomplish these goals and ensure the proper training is delivered and maintained. The ideal candidate will have experience in training, an ability to influence, strong interpersonal and communication skills, research abilities, and organization skills. 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be required as assigned)

  • Develop, implement, and sustain the production training program, covering both production and production support staff. 
  • Create, execute, and maintain training plans and matrices for production organization to ensure the workforce is appropriately cross trained and able to deliver on production build plans.
  • Develop and deliver individualized and group training programs and materials that address specific business needs, including overarching safety and compliance programs.
  • Identify training gaps in the production organization and proactively suggest solutions. 
  • Develop method to track training milestones, ensure goals are met, and communicate training program status to management.
  • Review existing training programs, suggest enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention and/or to meet the changing needs of the production organization.
  • Create program to ensure existing and new training materials are current, accurate, and effective.
  • Identify and assess the training needs of the production organization through job analysis and career paths.
  • Evaluate organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs and improving performance.
  • Drive company values and philosophy through all training and development activities.
  • Effectively communicate with team members, trainers, and management across the production organization.
  • Ensure employee safety and compliance to applicable Federal, State and company safety regulations.
  • Maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, Certifications)

  • Undergraduate degree with minimum of three years of training experience in the medical device or other regulated industry. 
  • Demonstrated ability to be a effective trainer and team member in a dynamic environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent computer skills with specific skills in Microsoft Office and experience with SolidWorks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The employee will frequently be exposed to engineering labs, a machine shop, and manufacturing clean rooms. The environment is subject to moderate noise from machinery (IE machine shop equipment, the PROCEPT Aquablation unit, computer equipment, printers, etc.), for which proper hearing protection may be assigned and worn. 
  • The employee may be exposed to hazards including electrical sparking, water, and chemicals, for which proper protective equipment will be assigned and worn.
  • The employee will frequently be exposed to clinical operating rooms, for which proper personal protection equipment will be assigned and worn. 
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a warehouse environment. 
  • COVID-I9 Vaccine Requirement: All PROCEPT BioRobotics employees must be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus. The company will follow an accommodation process for medical or religious exemptions.
