Michigan Pain Consultants (ProCare Pain Solutions) is seeking a part-time WORKING 3 DAYS A WEEK Radiologic Technologist for the South (Wyoming) location. The Radiologic Technologist assists physicians in the performance of fluoroscopic procedures while maintaining the necessary precautions for excessive exposure to patients and/or staff. The Radiologic Technologist works under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse. The Radiologic Technologist reports to the Clinical Nurse Coordinator. 

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

Minimum: 2 year certificate in Radiologic Technology from an accredited educational institution and maintain accreditation/license

Preferred: Baccalaureate Degree in Radiologic Technology with ARRT registration

Work Experience:

Minimum: One year clinical Radiologic Technician experience

Preferred: 2 years Radiologic Technician experience in an ambulatory setting specific to pain management

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Demonstrate ability to report facts with accuracy, follow instructions

Assist in smooth flow in the procedure room

Anticipate patient needs and concerns and collaborate with nursing to determine appropriate care

Demonstrate thorough understanding and working knowledge of normal, abnormal anatomy and physiology, radiation safety, interventional supplies and equipment operation

Complete procedure tray set up including accurate medication preparation while ensuring complete sterility

Use professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures

Follow appropriate clinic and State of Michigan standards, policies and procedures to provide optimal patient care

Facilitate effective working relationships/communications with all members of health team to promote a consistent and efficient continuum of patient care

Regard change as an opportunity and constantly adjust to it

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Independently mobile to perform job tasks

Approximately 95% of the time standing or walking

Moderate use of computers

Periodic heavy physical exertion

Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

Moderate bending, kneeling, overhead lifting pushing or pulling

Ability to wear a lead apron

Auditory and visual skills
