Southern Michigan Pain Consultants (ProCare Pain Solutions) is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant for the Portage Clinic. In these uncertain times, it’s refreshing to have some job security! The Medical Assistant (MA) functions in a clinical and administrative support role to assist the health care professional to ensure the delivery of quality health care services. The MA works under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse. The MA reports to the Clinical Manager.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Minimum: Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, Paramedic. Must maintain license/certification.
Work Experience:
Minimum: One-year recent, relevant experience
Preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of surgical asepsis, Universal Precautions, MDPH and OSHA standards

Follow appropriate standards, policies and procedures to provide optimal patient care
Perform efficiently in emergency situations following established standards, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events
Facilitate effective working relationships/communications with all members of health team to promote a consistent and efficient continuum of patient care.
