Position Purpose:

Effectively manage and resolve problems related to product design, materials, specifications, and/or manufacturing operations. Incumbent in this role has the responsibility to provide tactical and functional analysis relative to all aspects of quality control.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Interpret, build upon, and comply with company quality assurance standards
• Carefully maintain compliant and nonconformance processing through records and tracking systems, including root cause and corrective actions
• Document quality assurance activities with internal reporting and audits
• Develop new standards for production and design, with improvements as needed, and create testing protocols for implementation across all service lines
• Identify training needs and take action to ensure company-wide compliance
• Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of incoming and outgoing product to confirm quality conformance to specifications and quality deliverables
• Assist operations and local quality function in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels
• Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure closure in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
• Develop or update company complaint and inspection procedures to ensure capture and investigation, as well as proper documentation of complaints
• Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain and analyze problem logs to identify and report recurring issues to management and product development
• Provide training and support to quality assurance team on systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
• Provide quality assurance services to ensure the integrity of products received and shipped out, services provided to clients, support business and customer needs
• Set performance goals and project deadlines that align with the company's larger plans
• Delegate work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects
• Conduct performance reviews, motivate team members and create strategies to boost productivity
• Understand technical drawings and interpret them versus CMM measurement
• Ability to review and investigate customers’ DMRs, RMAs, FA independently and write formal reports of findings
• Well versed with SPC and quality control QMS protocols, statistical analysis, and hands on with measuring Cp and Cpk and gauge studies
• Coordinate QA/QC certificates, hardware calibration, inspection requests, non-compliance reports and on-site quality instructions

Skills and Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or above from accredited university. Work experience in the same or related field may be considered in lieu of degree or related military service
• Hands on knowledge of ProE or AutoCAD, and CMM programing a big plus
• Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Effective problem solving, analytical and organizational skills
• Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor or similar certification.
• Knowledge of quality and manufacturing processes and methods
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial role
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Great organizational skills and an eye for detail
• Ability to train employees when needed
