Job Title: Analytics Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA Hours: Full-time

Job Description: The Analytics Team is responsible for building and maintaining analytics tools and workflows to support the PrizePicks business across all departments - at the core of these operations is data. By developing, maintaining, and testing data generation infrastructures, you will enable the PrizePicks business to make smarter, better, and faster data-driven decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
● Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture, ensuring data reliability in operationalized data sets ● Expand our data late with clean, reliable and timely data ready for analysis
● Define and improve our internal standards for data format, maintainability, and best practices for a rapidly scaling data infrastructure
● Work with other stakeholders of the analytics function (data science, business intelligence, operational analytics) to assemble large, complex data sets ready for analysis
Qualifications:
● Strong organizational skills.
● Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
● Experience building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets. ● Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
● Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
● We are looking for a candidate with 1 years of experience in a data analytics or data engineering role, who has attained a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or another quantitative field.
● They should also have experience using the following software/tools:
○ Experience with relational SQL databases like Postgres
○ Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python.
○ Preferred experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, BQ, etc.
○ Experience with AWS or like cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, GCP.
○ Experience with data modeling tools: DBT.
○ Preferred experience with data pipeline and workflow tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, Prefect, etc.
