Pritchard Industries, Inc is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near Austin, TX

The Human Resources Generalist will help to build and retain a solid foundation of qualified employees for the company and ensure that processes and plans for the organization are carried out and implemented seamlessly. Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview and select applicants.
  • Discover ways to attract qualified, reliable people to the company
  • Interview job applicants; review application/resume; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant's qualifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationship with employment agencies and other recruitment sources.
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering policies and helping resolve work-related issues.
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
  • Prepare, process, and distribute payroll as a backup to Payroll Clerk.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits.
  • Conduct new employee orientations.
  • Arrange for training programs to ensure employees are fully equipped to do their jobs
  • Collect, set up and maintain proper documentation for all employees
  • Responsible for all human resource activities to include employment, compensation, labor relations, benefits, and training and development
  • Handle disputes between employees, documenting all incidents and coordinate resolution to issues
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between employees and insurance carriers.
  • Ensure the company is adhering to equal employment opportunity laws and laws that protect against sexual harassment
  • Perform employment verifications, background checks, new/term reporting
  • Analyze training needs to design employee development, language training and health and safety programs.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Conduct and document exit interviews to identify reasons for employee termination.
  • Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
  • Recommend, develop and schedule training and development courses.
  • Provide advice, assistance and follow-up on company policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Recommend, develop and maintain human resource data bases, computer software systems, and filing systems.
  • Develop and recommend operating policy and procedural improvements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • PHR Certification (preferred not required)
  • Knowledge of relevant computer applications
  • Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, training, compensation and benefits, labor relations and negotiation, and personnel information systems.
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects.
  • Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.
