JOB SUMMARY: Vibrantz seeks a hands-on Accounting Supervisor to manage aspects of cash, foreign currencies, external debt, general ledger, account reconciliations, closing process, along with other key general accounting management duties. This corporate position will report to the Accounting Director and will provide leadership to manage a team of 2 Staff/Senior Accountants.ESSENTIAL TASKS & DUTIES:Reviewing and approving journal entriesWork with external auditors providing requested documentation and explaining balances and transactionsDevelop process improvements in accounting activitiesResponsible for ensuring that all assigned accounts are reconciled in accordance with company policy and generally accepted accounting principlesIdentify and Implement improvements to the cash processOversight of cash in entities which have multiple functional currencies and foreign currency transactionsDevelop and implement Policies and Procedures related to internal controlHands-on worker and very detail orientedResponsible for multiple statutory auditsAble to work on multiple projects with accuracy and efficiency, while adhering to internal deadlinesParticipate in the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:Follows all company and customer safety policies and proceduresResponds to change productivelyPEOPLE DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP:Directly supervises 3 employees in accounting. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.QUALIFICATIONS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
