Description

The DevOps Engineer leads the design, development, and testing of software components responsible for the continuous verification and delivery of the software baseline and collaborates with team members to facilitate the capability. You will have the opportunity to work on advanced projects with state-of-the-art solutions supporting the space industry. This includes deployment of software applications while ensuring quality and security. The ideal applicant has experience working with high-level languages and scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python), has worked with Agile development tools, and adheres to Agile development principles. The DevOps Engineer collaborates with other program technical leads for developing innovative solutions and delivering best-in-class capabilities and solutions. 

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship 
• Active Top-Secret (TS) Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Eligibility 
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or closely related field 
• 14 years relevant experience with BS degree or 12 years relevant experience with an advanced degree 
• Experience in software development using high-level language; Python is preferred 
• Experience in Linux-based development 
• Experience with cloud platforms 
• Must be self-motivated and have a demonstrated history of working independently 
• Demonstrate a growth mindset and exhibit a highly collaborative workstyle 

Preferred skills or experience:

• Extensive experience in Linux-based and cloud-native deployments utilizing continuous delivery techniques 
• Experience with Python library development and scripting 
• Experience with Messaging systems like SQS 
• Experience with AWS 
• Experience in test-driven software development, DevOps, and/or Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery
• Experience working with Git version control 
• Experience with Atlassian productivity tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence)
• Experience with MBSE 
• Experience as a technical lead
