Responsibilities

The Business Analyst I provide analytic support for a wide variety of data domains and business data needs. The Business Analyst leads multiple concurrent projects as well as provides data strategic initiatives and decisions. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. Identifies and interprets trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences. The Business Analyst (BA) under the direction of the Vice President/ Director of Health Plan Operations will review, analyze and evaluate business systems and user needs. He/She will document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. The Business Analyst will be proactive in the identification and implementation of process improvement opportunities by applying analytical and critical thinking to generate innovative and practical solutions that will drive organizational results through increasing effectiveness and efficiency of our processes. Additional duties as assigned. The Business Analyst leads multiple concurrent projects, as well as provides data strategic initiatives and decisions using statistical analysis, predictive modeling and data mining. Analyzes complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision-makers. This position will be able to function as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Health plan operations for strategic project implementations.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

Required qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare, Business, Computer Science, or IT related field. 2. 2 years of experience as Business Analyst in the Healthcare Industry or related fields3. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).4. Able to analyze system records and translate data.5. Excellent skills in designing wireframes, Business flow diagrams and data flow diagrams.6. Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management.7. Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

Preferred qualifications:

1. Three or more (3 ) years of experience in US health care domain with good understanding of Clinical Coding terms. 2. Having good understanding of claims data and reimbursement methodologies, including ICD-10 & CPT codes, DRGs etc.3. Understand SDLC / Agile Methodology4. Minimum of 5. Two (2) years of healthcare experience with SQL, Tableau, or other BI tools6. Proficient with any of the programming languages

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $31.00 to $46.00. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
