Primal Pet Group is Hiring an Inventory Analyst Near Fairfield, CA
SUMMARY
The Inventory Analyst will manage inventory items and also perform various inventory related operations while working closely with the procurement production team and finance team. The primary responsibilities include: managing, counting and analyzing inventory items for packaging materials, raw materials and finished goods. Additionally, the Inventory Analyst will oversee inventory flow to our facilities, resolve any inventory discrepancies and advise on slow moving inventory.
The ideal candidate must have high attention to detail, be mathematically inclined, self motivated, with strong problem resolution skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage raw material, finished goods, and packaging inventory
- Assist with management of sell/off closeouts
- Maintain accurate entries into ERP for inventory entries and adjustments
- Report, monitor and review daily inventory adjustments and changes
- Resolve inventory issues/discrepancies, problem orders and inter-company transfer issues
- Report on inventory activities, trends, changes, process shorts report, and create variance analysis
- Act as the liaison to other departments for product changes, quality, and other inventory-related issues.
- Tracks, reports, and processes inventory issues related to suppliers, and works to eliminate supplier-related inventory issues.
- Manage Primal-owned inventory and movement of materials with third party and/or remote locations.
- Manage scrap submissions, tracking and reporting.
- Work closely with the Procurement/production and Finance team.
- Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience managing inventory in retail, wholesale, distribution, and manufacturing sectors.
- Ability to multitask and work independently with precise detail and follow-up reporting.
- Ability to prioritize and follow-through to achieve results and meet deadlines to meet the needs of the business.
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing to vendors, customers, carriers, and across the organization.
- Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, Inventory efficiencies, and operations procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
- ERP software experience required
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, speak and communicate in English with employees, direct supervisors, team leads and upper management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add and subtract numbers and to multiply and divide and understand percentages. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement and quantity measurements.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Strong problem solving and analytical skills
