Job description:

The Product Owner is responsible for maintaining the team backlog, sprint planning, and user acceptance for PriceSpider's products. In conjunction with the development team and in alignment with the Product Management roadmap, the Product Owner supports the development, delivery, and maintenance of business-critical features for the digital shelf analytics product. This role requires strong analytical skills, technical understanding, collaboration with development teams, business teams, and key stakeholders to document requirements and deliver scalable solutions. Working in an agile environment, this position collaboratively partners across administrative and functional areas of the company. This position works with the scrum master, front end and back end Developers, Data engineers, and QA team members across the Product Engineering organization.

What will you be doing:

• Analyze and understand business requirements and partner with Product lead to document Product Requirements Document (PRD)
• Define scope, functional and non-functional requirements, process flows, constraints and recommend solutions in the form of epics, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Maintain a prioritized product backlog to ensure the maximum value of delivery and to enable realistic forecasting, alignment with the product roadmap, proper communication, and expectation-management 
• Ensure that the prioritized backlog aligns with the Product roadmap
• Generate and refine detailed user stories from customer needs and solution requirements and partner with user experience to guide prototype development. 
• Working closely with engineering to constantly refine, prioritize and execute on the product backlog with an intense focus on generating high business value in each sprint
• Partner with Scrum Master to support Agile ceremonies for efficient execution - daily scrum, sprint planning and backlog grooming, sprint demo and retrospective meetings
• Review test cases to ensure complete test coverage, prioritize defects and identify feature gaps
• Assist with user acceptance testing to ensure delivered product meets acceptance criteria and matches prototypes 
• Identify and work with the Product Lead to beta test new features before full release to make sure customers’ needs were met. 
• Partner with Product Lead to produce Feature release notes and training documentation

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban) as a Product Owner, Business Analyst or similar role, preferably in SaaS Context
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to influence and articulate clear, measurable objectives after developing a detailed understanding of the business goals
• Strong desire to learn new skills and adapt to new technologies while maintaining attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to achieve results through influence. 
• Good communication and organization skills with strong ability to translate ideas into functional requirements
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment, working on a variety of projects and technologies in an iterative, team-based collaborative culture
• Work with competing and alternating priorities and take accountability for quality of deliverables

Preferred requirements:

• Experience working in agile development, using tools like Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, Roadmunk etc.
• Experience within eCommerce and/or eCommerce platforms
• Familiarity with enterprise-class customers and products
• Experience and/or knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum and Kanban
