Position / Title: Associate, Business Development

Pretium

Position

We are seeking an Associate to join Pretium’s marketing team. This position will help support fundraising and client service across Pretium’s growing suite of products. The role will report to the Head of Client Relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Business Development team in raising capital to meet AUM targets
  • Support and service existing client relationships while working with Relationship Managers to source and develop new relationships
  • Assist in all aspects of the marketing and fundraising cycle from fund concept, PPM preparation, launch, road show presentations, marketing, diligence and closing of investor capital commitments
  • Participate in the investor due diligence process by preparing materials for and attending investor meetings, populating online client databases, updating and maintaining due diligence documents, and responding to due diligence requests from investors
  • Deliver consistent, timely, and accurate responses to inbound investor inquiries and questionnaires
  • Help conduct fund update calls with Limited Partners and prepare investor reporting
  • Write timely call / meeting notes and monthly updates on themes / trends in this market segment
  • Articulately communicate with key stakeholders in a knowledgeable, clear, and professional fashion
  • Collaborate internally across multiple internal groups

Requirements

  • Our ideal candidate is strategically and organizationally savvy, financially astute, detail focused and demonstrates excellent business judgment. Direct and insightful in approach, they possess the interpersonal skills to quickly gain the respect and support from the relationship managers, client relations, and finance / operations teams.
  • Knowledge of the alternative asset management industry: real estate, residential credit and/or corporate and structured credit preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and presentation skills with high proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Personal and professional integrity to the highest order
  • Highly motivated, disciplined and results oriented
  • Team player who demonstrates a commitment to shared success
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to adhere to stringent deadlines
  • Proactive self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal) with professionals within and outside of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle pressure effectively
