Responsibilities:
- Perform floor cleaning and maintenance tasks in commercial settings
- Operate and maintain floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to remove dirt, debris, and stains
- Strip and wax floors to restore their appearance and protect them from damage
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning agents to ensure a clean and safe environment
- Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly
- Assist with other custodial duties as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred
- Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, equipment, and chemicals
- Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects as needed
- Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks within specified timeframes
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required
