Summary of Job: The Physical Therapist shall plan and implement specific physical therapy treatment programs for residents in a variety of settings according to accepted Physical Therapy practices and principles and in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
Reporting Relationship: The Physical Therapist will report to the Director of Rehabilitation.
Other Key Relationships: The Physical Therapist will directly and in-directly supervise treatment carried out by licensed Physical Therapy Assistants. The Physical Therapist will directly supervise treatment carried out by Physical Therapy students.
Requirements
Minimum Education, Experience and Skills:
Education: Postgraduate Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program and currently licensed in the state of South Carolina as a Physical Therapist. Three months of related experience in a senior living community or skilled nursing facility.
Skill: Ability to effectively communicate using basic language skills. Ability to manage time and the work demands using practical problem solving and critical thinking skills. Proficient computer skills and familiar with programs including, Rehab Optima, Casamba, Point Click Care, Microsoft Office, etc.
