Dock Supervisor

Requirements

Supervisors Pre-shift:

Attendance-Ensure the correct workforce has arrived. Report absent or tardy associates to OM/GM and provider.

Checks and Inspections-Ensure all associates have Safety vests or ANSI approved safety shirts. Hi-Viz is mandatory. Ensure all associates have appropriate footwear and clothing with regards to weather, temperature,and tasking.

Training/Safety- Ensure all personnel are appropriately trained and the daily safety message is given during briefing. Ensure appropriate levels of water and that all workers are fit for work.

Operations:

Trailer assignments/workforce tasking-Assign workforce according to FIFO, skill level, and equipment certification.

Loading report- (1) loading report must be completed within 1 hour of shift start and turned into clerical.

Outbound Audits-Must be completed periodically (at least 4 times per shift) with tallied weights recorded in the margin of recap sheets

Inbound unload progress-The progress of unloading should be under constant scrutiny. Time is tracked on the workflow and progress of unloads can be inspected during outbound audits.

Count and paperwork verification-ALL OSDs MUST BE VERIFIED BY SUPERVISORS OR ABOVE. When Inbound manifests are turned in, they should be inspected for accuracy ( /- manifested numbers) to ensure all OSDs are caught. All work must be shown. Inspect all outbound paperwork for accuracy and level of completion.

Yard Moves-Moves must be assigned to yard drivers frequently by either radio or list. Once a trailer is empty or closed out access to the trailer must be physically restricted by lowering the door or by safety chain.

• 2-5 Previous Warehouse Management Experience
• 1-2 Years Previous Expereince leading a team of 30 employees
• Forklift Certified (Crown/Raymond/Stand-up/Sit-down)

Work Shift

• Mon-Fri 7am-3:30 pm with rotating weekends

Peak season

• (October-December) may require additional hours of work and/or additional work day(s).

Salary

• based on experience (48k-52k) Benefits Package
