Premier Pediatric Therapy Source is Hiring a Family Support Specialist (Pediatrics) Near Annandale, VA

About the Job
Job title: Family Support Specialist.
Status: Full-Time, 8:30 am - 5:30 pm.
Pay rate: $18 - $23/hr
Premier Pediatric Therapy Source is a rapidly growing therapist-owned private practice that offers Occupational, Physical, Speech Therapy, and Nutrition Counseling services to children birth to 18 years with conditions ranging from mild to complex. We serve families in home, within the community, via Telehealth as well as in our state-of-the-art clinic located in Annandale, VA.
We are seeking an outgoing and polished professional with strong interpersonal skills for our Family Support Specialist position. The ideal candidate for this position has superior customer service skills with a proven track record in effectively multi-tasking, forward-thinking, and understanding how their contribution is vital to the overall success of the practice.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides administrative support to the Care Manager and therapy team.
  • Ensures families receive an exceptional experience throughout their child’s therapy program.
  • Maintain communication with families to ensure a positive rewarding experience in the practice.
  • Maintains a clean and welcoming office environment.
  • Answers phones, retrieves incoming mail, faxes, etc., and responds promptly to correspondence.
  • Assists with scheduling appointments and backfilling empty slots.
  • Collects financial responsibility at the time of visit and post payments into the practice management system.
  • Sends appointment reminders and other notifications.
  • Obtains registration forms prior to initial visits, as needed.
  • Creates new client profiles and uploads documents into the practice management system.
  • Data entry into the practice management system and tracking spreadsheets
  • Runs weekly audits on outstanding provider notes to ensure compliance with documentation timeline requirements.
  • Assists with special projects.
  • All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • AA degree or higher.
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience as a front office receptionist for therapy or medical practice, preferably in pediatrics 
  • Exceptional oral and written interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and understand the day-to-day operations of the practice and execute moderately complex business processes.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple concurrent assignments.
  • Detail oriented with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy in order to meet timelines and complete assigned tasks.
  • Decisive with a strong ability to independently problem-solve.
  • Working knowledge of modern office technology, including Electronic Medical Records.
  • Proficient with basic computer programs (Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows 10, Outlook, etc.).
  • Knowledge and understanding Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Successful completion of an FBI Background Check.
