Premier Marine is Hiring an Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator Near Big Lake, MN

Description

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator develops and enforces a workplace culture of health and safety. They develop and implement safety programs and policies, train personnel on new protocols, and ensure the organization is in compliance with all health and safety regulations.

Essential Job Functions

· Supports Third Party EHS Consultant to create and enforce a culture of safety in the organization.

· Collaborate with all levels/employees of the organization to ensure all occupational guidelines and regulations are adhered to.

· Implement programs, policies and assessments ensuring compliance with all federal, local, and internal EHS rules.

· Train Employees on EHS policy and practices (AWAIR, Right- to -Know, CPR, First Aid etc.).

· Works with Operations and Facilities to conduct Job Hazard Analysis, Lock-Out-Tag-Out training, and policies.

· Collaborates with management

· Train employees on health and safety policies and best practices.

· Conduct inspections and identifying hazards and EHS violations.

· Provide solutions and intervention strategies for hygiene, health, and safety hazards.

· Implement new health and safety protocols and measures to ensure compliance with regulations.

· Monitor operational processes and employee activities.

· Generate assessment documentation, incident and accident reports, and health and safety manuals.

· Report to management, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.

· Prepare and submit health and safety compliance documents to the relevant organizations.

· Participate as a member of the Safety Committee and lead corporate Environmental Health and Safety programs.

· Comply with regulations as it relates to Hazardous Material storage, usage, and disposal.

· Promotes and conducts good housekeeping

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities

· Detailed knowledge of relevant regulations such as OSHA, EPA, and ANSI.

· The ability to read and interpret safety data sheets.

· Proficiency in computer programs such as MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Strong leadership and training abilities.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Acute attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to easily navigate throughout the facility both inside and outside in all weather conditions.

· Effective problem-solving abilities.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Must be well-organized and have the ability to prioritize tasks.

· Must be a team player with focus on customer service and quality.

· Must have solid work attendance and be reliable.

Education and Experience Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or similar.

· OSHA or similar EHS certification.

· A minimum of two years' experience as an EHS coordinator.

The physical demands needed are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job (sitting, standing, walking the manufacturing floor, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds).
