The Rehabilitation Admissions Coordinator is responsible for identifying candidates who meet program criteria and who will benefit from program services. Responsibilities include collection of all pertinent data, assessment of clients (including clinical physical assessment), and coordinating admissions to Unit with the physicians, nurses, and therapists directly involved in the client’s care. The Admissions Coordinator reviews the patient’s insurance coverage and obtains pre-certification for admission. The Admissions Coordinator oversees the Patient Assessment Instrument (PAI) data collection and transmittal process to CMS, manages referral development for the Inpatient Rehabilitation program, and assists with quality management and compliance with CARF and other regulatory agency standards. .
