Premier Early Childhood Education Partners is Hiring an Early Childhood Teacher ($500 sign-on bonus) Near Apex, NC

*$500 Sign-On Bonus*

The Growing Years of Apex is a licensed childcare center seeking an energic Lead Teacher for our Two's and Preschool classrooms! This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated, energetic educator who is passionate about early childhood education. Our mission is to be a nurturing environment for young children trusted by parents. We accomplish this by focusing on the needs of our students through age-appropriate educational activities in a fun, loving, and safe setting.

Required Shift: Monday - Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm 

Compensation: $17-19/hour based on education and experience *$500 sign on bonus*

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare lesson plans that are developmentally appropriate one week in advance using current curriculum guides. 
  • Carry out lesson plans according to classroom schedule/daily routine. 
  • Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and appropriately decorated classroom. 
  • Order classroom supplies and materials two weeks in advance.
  • Keep birthday boards, parent and teacher boards, cubbies, cubbie tags, and the parent resource center up to date. 
  • Maintain development assessments and casual observations for each child’s portfolios 
  • Support positive communications among the center, staff, children, and parents. 
  • Maintain training requirements for the position in coordination with your administrative staff. (20 hours per calendar year) 
  • Administer first aid for accidents.
  • Mentor new teachers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment for children. 
  • Use Tadpoles efficiently. 
  • Creating and maintaining an environment that is clean and safe for all children.
  • Carrying out the daily responsibilities of the classroom relating to the care of the children.
  • Responsible for the safety and well-being of each child, responding to their emotional needs.
  • Implementing lesson plans/curriculum on a weekly basis covering all areas of child development.
  • Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required 
  • Previous experience working with younger children 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • An associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education OR an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree with 12 Early Childhood Education credits completed preferred 
  • 2 years of experience working within a licensed childcare facility
