Responsibilities 

  • Assist front office with daily duties as needed
  • Provide excellent customer service to all patients and caregivers.
  • Complete pre-authorizations and referrals as appropriate for patients; gather all necessary information for claim processing.
  • Ensure patients have completed the appropriate financial consent forms and financial agreements per their treatment plan.
  • Maintain patient records with strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA Privacy Practices.
  • Serve as a liaison between the Doctors, other medical professionals and patients, as appropriate.
  • Answer inbound calls
  • Prepare financial treatment plan & calculate fees based on fee schedules
  • Present patient's walkouts & treatment plans
  • Schedule appointments
  • Answer patient questions regarding treatment, insurance, and their account
  • Collect and post payments
  • Discuss payment & financing options with patients
  • Patient follow-up by email, text and phone
  • Heavy documentation & tracking of patient communications
  • Electronically order prescriptions
  • Assist insurance coordinator to update insurance information on all patients and posting correct treatment codes for billing

Qualifications 

  • Prior dental office experience preferred but not required (clinical or front desk)
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Highly motivated and organized
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Maintain productivity in a high volume multi tasked environment
  • Outstanding positive attitude and demeanor
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Knowledge of all company policies and rules
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under little supervision
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Enjoys working with people, both patients and team members
  • Likes working hard but likes to have fun, too
  • Desires to give every patient an amazing dental experience
