Premier Aquatic Services Llc. is Hiring an Aquatics Program Manager Near Aliso Viejo, CA

COMPENSATION
$19-$21/hr
JOB SUMMARY
The Aquatics Program Manager will oversee day to day swim lesson operations, mentor swim instructors, and assist in cultivating a positive guest experience at the Aliso Viejo Aquatic Center. The Aquatics Program Manager will work under supervision of the Programs Director who will provide site-specific training.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
Minimum
  • Previous swim instructor experience
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, a StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
  • Candidate must be outgoing, responsible, and reliable
Preferred
  • 6 months of swim instructor experience
  • Posses knowledge of Jackrabbit Technologies, OneTeam360, and/or Talent LMS
  • StarGuard Elite Lifeguard certification
Physical Requirements 
  • Ability to teach swim lessons in the water for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to operate all equipment necessary to perform the job and to move or lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
  • May be exposed to prolonged periods of being outdoors
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review and confirm the daily swim lesson roster, including:
    • Confirm correct “box assignments” and substitutes are listed on the roster
    • Review for over booked swim lessons
    • Address and resolve other scheduling questions or concerns as appropriate
  • Lead pre-lesson and post-lesson team “huddles,” including:
    • Review scheduling updates
    • Communicate daily updates
    • Provide shift reminders
    • Review outstanding students
    • Provide feedback on lessons
    • Review graduation list
    • Communicate swim instructor upcoming events, such as:
      • Required online training, In-Services
  • Play an active role in mentoring and setting an example for the swim instructor team 
  • Greet incoming guests to set the tone for their experience
  • Proactively identify and address parent questions, complaints, and needs
  • Effectively communicate program and curriculum goals to the families
  • Communicate with front desk and instructors regarding last minute lesson changes throughout the day
  • Service as point of contact for swim instructors during lessons
  • Approve swim lesson graduation for students
  • Professionally document detailed daily reports, swim instructor interactions, and swim instructor coaching in “OneTeam360”
  • Use of “Jackrabbit” to document all parent conversations and communicating pool closures to families
  • Maintain daily communication with the Programs Director for any needs, ideas, or feedback
  • Teaching one swim lesson shift a week as needed
  • Respond to emergencies
  • Plan activities, events, and promote a positive team atmosphere
  • Run lifeguard breaks and rotations, as needed
