Your Job:

As the Lead Counselor you are responsible for assisting individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders to improve their ability to perform tasks in their daily living and working environments as well as assist direct supervisor/provide direct supervision in personnel matters and programmatic issues.

Essential Job Functions:

• Complete intake/screening/assessment process within appropriate time frames as designated by DMH/CARF/agency standards.
• Develop treatment plans for clients in accordance with DMH/CARF guidelines that demonstrate evolution and individualization based on information gathered from assessment.
• Provide training and direction concerning clinical functioning.
• Review of clinical records distributing corrective actions and following up to ensure corrections are made.
• Complete any correspondence in a timely fashion.
• Participates and assists in facilitating clinical staffing/treatment meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
• Complete Annual Evaluations within designated time frames for direct reports.
• Adhere to weekly service provision expectations.
• Document all the services provided in accordance with DMH/CARF/agency standards.

We think you’d be great for this role if you have the following:

• Minimum of 3 years in the field of substance use disorder and/or mental health showing progressive responsibility in regard to job duties.

• Hold the credentials of a Qualified Substance Abuse Professional as defined by the Missouri Substance Abuse Professional Credentialing Board, Inc. (MSAPCB) or applicable State Board.

• Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC), Certified Reciprocal Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRADC), Certified Reciprocal Advanced Alcohol Drug Counselor (CRAADC), or Registered Substance Abuse Professional (RSAP) OR

• Hold appropriate Licensure as a Professional Counselor or Social Worker.
