Overview
Audio-Visual Technician (2 Positions)
Location: Washington DC
Clearance: Current Top Secret
The required qualifications and skills include the following:
- Possess a minimum of two years of experience in the installation of VTC systems.
- Willingness to learn new skills and technologies to stay current with changing technologies
- Works on assigned tasks from the Senior Audio Video Technician.
- Demonstrate experience in following schematics for installation of VTC systems.
- Understand and interpret installation drawings and design packages. Apply that knowledge to the cabling installation, and promote a safe work environment and implement safe work practices.
- Be proficient in the proper handling, installation, of LC, MTRJ and SC connector termination, and testing of fiber-optic and copper cabling systems.
- Be proficient in the installation of various types of cable tray, PDS, and Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) conduit up to four (4) inches.
- Be capable of properly documenting any red-line changes to drawing packages.
- Possess effective communication skills for coordinating installation work with FBI office personnel and FBI customers.
- Demonstrate 3 years of experience with Crestron systems and or a Crestron certification required.
- A TS security clearance is required with the ability to obtain an SCI.
