We are in search of an individual with a high level of expertise in disassembling, repairing, and reassembling jet propulsion engines. You will be working in a team environment to support and deliver quality products to our customers. Additionally, you will be expected to undertake other responsibilities that align with our business objectives and contribute to your professional advancement.

This job is located at Hickam Airfield, JBPHH, Hawaii.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform full and intermediate-level maintenance and repair on engines, modules, and components for F119-PW-100
  • Provide training and mentoring to develop other technicians.
  • Perform routine maintenance of support equipment.
  • Local support for investigations and process improvement activity, management of process-related waste according to approved work instructions, and additional tasks supporting business objectives.
  • Have experience in the disassembly, inspection, and assembly of propulsion jet engines.
  • Borescope experience and/or previous certification, non-powered Aerospace Ground Equipment knowledge, and a proven ability to use and interpret electronic technical manuals.
  • Must also be able to work atop maintenance platforms, ascend/descend maintenance stands, and lift 25 pounds to a height of 4 feet.
  • Be able able to use computers and have proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented and have excellent attentiveness to perform work.
  • Must handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced team environment with changing/various priorities, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, and work independently.
  • Must be willing and able to train and develop other team members.
  • The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • US Citizen due to program requirements
  • 5 years of Jet Engine experience along with tear-down and build-up.
  • 3 years of F119-PW-100 experience or F135 (5th generation engine).
  • Candidate must have experience performing IPI, borescopes & blade blending.
  • Must be able to work from process operation procedures and engineering drawing specifications.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and basic computer controls.
  • Be able to use fixed or variable measuring instruments to check dimensions.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of US Air Force maintenance systems experience.
  • 2 years of IMIS/IMDS experience
  • Familiarity with AFI 21-101 and 00-20-1/2/3
  • Airframe & Power plant License
  • Minimum (4) years of experience in the tear-down, build-up, and inspection of jet engines.
  • Strong communication skills. Be self-motivated and a self-starter
  • Ability to lift heavy objects as required
  • Good interpersonal skills in dealing with others in a diverse work environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation for advanced propulsion systems.
  • This position requires a detail-oriented individual. Accuracy in work performed is a must.
  • Must have a Secret clearance or the ability to acquire one within one year and maintain all required clearances and access.
  • Comply with the EH&S Policy and applicable regulatory and company EH&S rules and requirements
  • Comply with the Quality Policy and applicable company Quality rules and procedures.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office software are required.
