PRAESCIENT ANALYTICS is Hiring a Document Management Analyst Near Washington, DC

Praescient has extensive experience designing, developing, and integrating solutions for customers including the US Army, Special Operations Command (SOCOM), US Navy (USN), US Marine Corps (USMC), US Coast Guard (USCG), Department of Justice (DOJ), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), intelligence community, and local law enforcement agencies, among others.

Praescient Analytics is in search of a Document Management Analyst to support the Department of Justice (DOJ) to provide administrative, legal support and information technology staffing services, for the Automated Litigation Support (ALS) contract. ALS encompasses a wide range of professional services and products that help attorneys acquire, organize, analyze, develop, and present evidence throughout the course of litigation, from pre-filing investigation, through complaint, discovery, and trial, through post-trial briefs and the appeals process. Through the use of professional litigation support services and advanced tools for litigation support, the litigating attorney can use evidence and information effectively to win lawsuits. Professional litigation support products and services enable the litigator to control and manage much larger volumes of case materials, and much more complex information, much more quickly, and to much greater effect, than would otherwise be possible.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Performs moderately complex litigation support tasks, including, detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters, such as financial records, health care materials, and other litigation files; detailed indexing of case files; drafting procedures for accomplishing litigation support assignments; document acquisition related tasks; and conducting database searches.
  • Proofreads and edits deliverable products.
  • May Serve as a team leader for larger group of Document Management Technicians and clerical support staff.
  • Filing, retrieving, and copying case file materials; creating witness binders; preparing deposition and trial exhibits; entering data on-line to case files and other databases; proofreading, editing, correcting OCR'd text files; retrieving and blowing back documents and digital image media; tabbing, numbering, labeling, assembling documents; filling out log sheets and reporting on task progress; and performing quality control on the work of peers in all of these areas.
  • Prepares documents for image scanning; performs other document collection related activities, including document screening, and labeling of files to be scanned.
  • Performs simple database searches.

Required Qualifications:

  • One year of experience on major litigation support projects or undergraduate degree.
  • Certain assignments may require experience or substantial undergraduate coursework in, for example, finance/accounting, health care, or substantial experience in the legal environment or in information technology. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a team environment. Must have excellent writing skills and oral communication capabilities.
  • Requires hands-on familiarity with the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, data processing environments, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, internet and server-based databases and other applications, such as Oracle, Relativity or other document review platform, Trial Director, etc.
  • Should be a knowledgeable user of the Government's office and network environment, including but not limited to, word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
