Powers is Hiring a Human Resources Manager Near North Little Rock, AR

At Powers, we specialize in helping our customers with any HVAC project or problem they have. We do this by providing the right equipment for the right application, setting it up to maximize both comfort and efficiency, making sure everything is operating the way it’s supposed to, and servicing all major HVAC equipment and controls. Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute Powers’ human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, and retention.
  2. Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when questions and issues arise.
  3. Manages the talent acquisition process using ATS software (Bamboo HR), collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  4. Manage benefit programs including relationships with insurance providers, brokers, and open enrollment.
  5. Leave Management: STD, LTD, FMLA, and other applicable leaves
  6. Coordinates with management to create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  7. Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  8. Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  9. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  10. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  2. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  5. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  6. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  7. Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  8. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  9. The ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  1. A minimum of three years of human resource experience with benefits management, leave tracking, onboarding, recruitment, and employment law.
  2. Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is a plus but not required for candidates with a requisite level of experience.
  3. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.
