UI/UX Designer
Location: Fully Remote

Clearance: Public Trust

We’re currently searching for a UI/UX Designer to join our ranks and continue our tradition of success. 
Responsibilities:

  • Conduct user-centered research, using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Plans and facilitates design thinking activities and workshops, including design sprints, lightning design jams, and co-designing activities.
  • Plans and facilitates participatory and iterative design activities, including observational studies, customer interviews, usability testing, and other forms of user-centered research.
  • Developing and conceptualizing a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy.
  • Builds wireframes, low and high fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes of easy-to-navigate user interfaces (UIs).
  • Adapts and uses US Web Design Standards to design public-facing web properties.
  • Builds buy-in with the team and customer on how to best define and measure success metrics.
  • Experience reviewing design artifacts and providing feedback to others to ensure that the deliverables meet high quality standards.
  • Meet deadlines on fast-paced deliverables
  • Escalate and communicates issues, risks and concerns to the management on time.
  • Accept project delivery responsibilities and demonstrate accountability to leadership.
  • Maintain a sense of individuality in thinking and decision making.
  • Is a professional in work aspects as well as conduct with other individuals.
  • Promote Collaboration and Engagement
  • Drive the resolution of issues and holds self and team accountable for results. 
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and developments.
  • Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
Required Qualifications: 
  • A minimum of 4 years UI/UX design experience for digital products or services.
  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both web and mobile platforms.
  • Working knowledge of the following software: Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of the following technologies and software: HTML, CSS (SCSS), iOS, Android.
  • A team player but can work independently too.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Meticulous at both analysis and execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and all levels of the organization
  • Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Willingness to build professional relationships with staff and clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working as part of an agile team
  • Experience designing user experiences to be compliant with Section 508 requirements.
