Power3 Solutions and Partnering Companies is Hiring an Information Systems Security Officer Near Fort Meade, MD
Join a new and exciting opportunity to protect national security and provide premier mission focused IT services for a dynamic and growing program. Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Information Systems Security Officer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. In this role, you will provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program by proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide support to senior ISSOs for implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies, standards, and methodologies.
- Assist with preparation and maintenance of documentation.
- Assist in the evaluation of security solutions to ensure they meet security requirements for processing classified information.
- Assist with the CM for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
- Maintain records on workstations, servers, routers, firewalls, intelligent hubs , network switches, etc. to include system upgrades
NOTE: Multiple levels of seniority are available dependent on qualifications/experience.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of related experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. 2 additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Technical (IAT), Level I or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation; communication protocols; and encryption techniques/tools.
- DoD 8570 compliance with Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I or higher
Security Clearance Requirements:

Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
