Implementation of lean and 5S principles; create and drive KPI improvement plan based around CMMS and OEE data.
Provide engineering support for pretreatment, E-coat, powder coat, paint stripping and waste treatment.
Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation: PM, process flow, PFMEA and control plans, operator / setup work instructions, drawings, engineering change requests, etc.
Monitor/audit critical systems.
Generating and implementing cost savings opportunities; including scrap reduction, process optimizations and OEE improvements.
Leading projects (i.e., capital expenditures, cost reduction, new product, etc...)
Develop, design and racks / fixtures.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
Degree in Engineering/Technology
Effective interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of the company
Demonstrated knowledge of chemistry
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
Time/project management
Organization/planning
Hands-on
Fluent with CAD software 2D/3D
Self-motivated
3 years of related experience in manufacturing environment (preferably metal working coating, automation, material handling)
Effective planning/organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and set priorities
Fabrication, welded products, robotics, programming, assembly would be a plus
Experience in automotive, aerospace, pharmaceutical or food industry would be a plus
