POTOMAC MANAGEMENT SOLUTIONS, LLC is Hiring a Security Specialist Near Denver, CO

Parsons is sourcing candidates for a project within the Department of Defense to provide a Security Specialist. The Security Specialist is expected to provide develop and provide subject matter expertise in providing day-to-day security classification guidance and assessments of classified and controlled unclassified information (includes sensitive but unclassified) GEOINT campaigns and program tools development within the Research Offices and Pods. RTP is a security risk management process that identifies and safeguards both technical and programmatic information from concept through transition to a mission partner. RTP analyzes information and processes to ensure security of information and technology to safeguard U.S. Government, National Security, and the Intelligence Community interests against unauthorized disclosure. Additionally, RTP applies operations security and selected countermeasures to the protection of critical information generated by the NGA Research workforce. RTP reviews ongoing Research contracts for issues related to Foreign Ownership and Control or Influence (FOCI) and related Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) concerns. The RTP team liaises with NGA's Security and Installations (SI) team for the latest security policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
MUST HAVE TS OR TS/SCI CLEARANCE

  • Contractor shall provide system security analysis and program documentation and risk assessment analysis in support of RTP mission.
  • Contractor shall develop and maintain a comprehensive picture of the threats toNGA Research programs.
  • Contractor shall assist in the identification of potential program vulnerabilities that could be exploited.
  • Contractor shall assess the impact of losing NGA R&D information.
  • Contractor shall perform overall security risk assessment for the research efforts.
  • Contractor shall provide pros and cons associated with proposed risk mitigation options.
  • Contractor shall assist with reviewing and establishing additional technical and process related security classification guidance for new concepts developed by the Offices and Pods.
  • Contractor shall provide subject matter expertise for security classification guidance and assessments of classified and controlled unclassified information (includes FOUO, Limited Distribution (LIMDIS), and sensitive information).
  • Contractor shall develop uniquely tailored classification guidelines for innovative GEOINT tools development and GEOINT data and specialized handling and dissemination instructions for Intelligence materials and specialized GEOINT programs and publications from NGA/Research.
  • Contractor shall provide expert advice and assistance regarding the protection of classified information, classification management, special security, industrial security, security education and training, and security investigations.
  • Contractor shall coordinate with PMs and OGC to identify export-controlled/ITAR restricted technologies in development within NGA Research.
  • Contractor shall provide briefings and assist in briefings for NGA Research workforce on evolving security policies and guidance, including foreign Government relationships.
  • Contractor shall assist in obtaining cooperative agreements with U.S. industrial facilities to support research studies and determine whether data is ready for release to audiences including but not limited to government personnel, others in industry, foreign government personnel, or the general public.
  • Contractor shall assist with establishing and maintaining historical records of each Research project's security architecture.
  • Contractor shall research, identify, and evaluate vulnerabilities posed by potentialNGA Research performers and relevant Joint Voluntary Notices identified through the CFIUS process.
  • Contractor shall liaise with the NGA Office of Security, NGA Office of International Affairs, and other NGA, IC and DoD security organizations.

REQUIRED CAPABILITIES

  • Experience developing, staffing, and managing security programs for R&D of NSG communities (to include the IC, DoD, Commonwealth allies, industry, and academia).
  • Expert knowledge of government policy and procedures for the handling of Unclassified, sensitive/Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), National Security Information (Collateral), and SCI (including special security requirements) for the implementation of IC and DoD policy.
  • Knowledge in developing, reviewing, and documenting classification management business processes ensuring compliance with the Director of National Intelligence policy (ODNI), E.O. 13526, DoDM 5200.01, Volumes 1-4, federal regulations, and international arrangements.

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
