Position Overview

This entry level position is a great way to get started in the growing solar industry. The person in this role ensures safe, efficient, and controlled warehouse operations with a focus on providing excellent support to multiple departments, primarily the Installation Teams and the Service Department. This role will report to the Warehouse Manager, must be organized, detail oriented, collaborative, and mindful about safety at all times. Regular work hours will be M-Th 6:30 - 4:30, but may change based on the needs of the team.

• Coordinates with Installers, Project Managers and Designers to ensure that materials are ready for each job prior to the scheduled start date.
• Assist with inventory control including receiving, delivering, returning, and tracking surplus materials.
• Consistently follows and continuously improves the warehouse and materials processes to increase efficiency; employee safety and satisfaction; customer service delivery; and housekeeping.
• Responsible to ensure safe warehouse operations and materials handling.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Project Management to maintain awareness of and readiness for upcoming installations.
• Coordinate with Designers to ensure that materials lists are complete and correct prior to procuring materials for jobs and after jobs are complete.
• Coordinate with buyer to ensure all materials are procured and delivered in advance of project start dates.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Lead and installation crew on a daily and ongoing basis to ensure installers have materials and equipment needed prior to the start of an installation and assist with preparing and loading materials and helping them unload at the end of each day.
• Supports inventory control levels by conducting cycle counts and supporting reconciliation in NetSuite.
• Consistently follows all processes and procedures and assists in the development of company-wide warehouse processes and procedures.
• Safeguards warehouse operations and contents through the development of and warehouse inventory controls and personnel safety procedures and protocols.
• Maintains proper and orderly inventory and stocking levels in the warehouse.
• Maintains a clean and organized work space, follows visual control processes.
• Supports the inventory on installation vehicles
• Monitors and maintains warehouse tooling and equipment in a safe working order.
• Receives orders, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and condition of materials, including those delivered to job sites.
• Sign, scan, and file paperwork for shipping and receiving.
• Completes all procedures to return and receive credit for materials received in poor condition.
• Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements.
• Escalates any issues as necessary through the Warehouse Lead, to ensure resolution in a timely fashion.
• Contributes to team effort by performing related tasks as needed. Job description subject to change based on organizational needs.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

• Experience warehousing electrical and/or mechanical parts.
• Experience in inventory control methods and using ERP systems.
• Computer skills

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical duties required including squatting, lifting up to 40 pounds from the ground to shoulder height multiple times per day, reaching, turning, bending, walking on uneven ground.
