As our Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for complex report balancing relating to ticket revenues and commissions; maintaining comprehensive and complex general ledger accounts requiring the analysis of accounting transactions and the establishment and maintenance of accounting controls; and maintaining monthly bank and merchant card reconciliations.

This role is part time, on average you will work 22 – 26 hours per week. We operate in a hybrid work model, meaning this role will be in the office 2-3 days a week.

DAY-TO-DAY: 

• Complete monthly projects, account analysis and journal entries (including 401k, banking, ticket sales and settlements, cash recording, suite revenue, accruals and other entries as needed) on a timely basis to coordinate with month end production of Financial Statements
• Financial statement review: Coordinate with internal staff across multiple departments to ensure accuracy of statements, note any discrepancies for follow up
• Provide general back-up duties for TBI and RCM accounting staff as needed
• Reconcile operating bank accounts (including Arena accounts)
• Reconcile advance ticket sales to Ticketmaster Archtics and Tableau ticketing software reports
• Assist with or prepare schedules for payroll to include monthly computation of ticket commissions for staff, reconciliation of payroll tax withholdings paid to non-Oregon jurisdictions and other schedules as assigned
• Assist with preparations of audit and tax schedules for external auditors and tax preparers, and assist in various league required reports as needed, including year-end true ups
• Assist in annual budgeting and forecasting analysis throughout the year
• Trail Blazers Foundation: Prepare and reconcile annual Federal and Oregon W-2G filings for raffle winner payouts, complete other projects and journal entries as needed
• Blazer5 Gaming: Record monthly journal entries, reconcile due to/from accounts

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

• Possess a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting or a related field; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Have 2-3 years of experience in Accounting and/or Auditing.
• Have analytical experience with general ledgers in a corporate accounting environment.
• Are able to verify data integrity and convert raw data into analytical reports.
• Have experience with Microsoft Excel creating and applying complex formulas, database, and analysis functions.
• Have experience with accounting software, Microsoft Dynamics/Solomon is a plus.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, time management and interpersonal skills.
• Are able to work part-time hours (22 – 26 hours per week)
