Founded in late 2016, Pony.ai has been a pioneer in autonomous mobility technologies and services across the U.S. and China, spearheading public-facing Robotaxi pilots in both markets. Responsibility

  • New Business Development.
    • Establish relationships and create new business opportunities with major OEMs, fleets, and Tier 1.
    • Own end to end partner strategy from outreach and relationship cultivation to deal closure across a variety of industry stakeholders.
    • Negotiate contracts and close new business deals.
  • Market Research.
    • Identify and evaluate target customer segments and customer acquisition strategies.
    • Conduct a thorough analysis of the market landscape, carefully monitoring the behavior of industry players, market conditions, consumer trends, and competitive forces in order to develop an effective Go-To-Market plan.
    • Staying well-informed on trends and developments within the autonomous driving industry and ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams.
    • Work across different groups and levels in a highly entrepreneurial role and able to define goals and demonstrate results.
    • Support a team of business development and partnerships managers in generating business leads and negotiating deals.
  • Passionate and curious about the future of autonomous driving technology and have the ability to discuss/explore autonomous and new mobility technologies.
  • 3 years of experience in the field of business development, sales and partnership development, preferably within the automotive or autonomous driving industry.
  • Strategic and analytical thinking with good business sense.
  • Exceptional capability to build a variety of cross-functional and external relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work streams based on the company’s top objectives.
  • Travel of or up to 25%.

Compensation and Benefits

Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $180,000 Annually

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on many factors, including the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Compensation and this role may be eligible for bonuses/incentives and restricted stock units.
