Pomp’s Tire Service is looking for a Network Systems Administrator to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. This Administrator will demonstrate super technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security. Qualified network systems administrators will have a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis. Job Responsibilities: Managing and controlling computer networks and related computing environments, including systems software, application software, hardware, and configurations Developing and enforcing regulations, as well as defining and monitoring access to secure network systems Establishing remote location network builds and ongoing support Optimizing network performance by performance monitoring, troubleshooting network issues and outages, scheduling upgrades, and network optimization Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Write and maintain custom scripts Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. Job Requirements: A minimum of five years of experience as a network engineer BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject Practical experience with HP, Fortinet, and Cisco equipment Excellent ability to plan and prioritize tasks and adhere to deadlines Solves problems analytically and is data-driven Cloud experience, preferably in AWS Core routing experience Network switch programming, VLAN experience Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box) Scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python) Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP) As a Pomp’s employee you’ll receive paid life insurance, plus health, dental and vision insurance.
