Pomp’s Tire Service has an immediate opening for a Desktop Support Technician. The Desktop Support Technician installs, supports, and troubleshoots company hardware and software including printers, desktops, laptop computers, Microsoft Office, ERP system, and other industry specific software. At Pomp's, we value the opportunities to advance our employee's skills and positions at any level and work to support your development as a Desktop Support Technician. Job Responsibilities: Provide first-level computer technical support to all Pomp’s locations via phone, email, and in-person Build and install computers and laptops Install, configure, and troubleshoot printers and multifunction devices Manage stock of printer and MFP toner Install and support business software applications including Microsoft Office and MaddenCo (IBM iSeries) Manage user accounts in Active Directory, including creation, deletion, and modification Provide off-hours support via a departmental on-call rotation schedule Additional tasks as assigned Job Requirements: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Work well under pressure in a quickly changing environment Ability to troubleshoot new, unique issues Ability to maintain professional appearance and demeanor Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong attention to confidentiality Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience and certifications required Microsoft MCP and Cisco CCENT certifications preferred Willingness to keep up to date and train on new technology Physical Demands: Regularly lift, push, or move 25 pounds; occasionally lift, push, or move 75 pounds Regular use of hands and arms in traditional office environment Ability to talk and hear in order to communicate with internal and external customers Indoors in a climate controlled office environment Routinely use standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and fax machines We offer competitive pay and a great benefits package.
