Summary:

The Business Analyst is responsible for translating business requirements into technology requirements, working closely with business teams, report developers and QA to design, develop, and deploy reporting solutions. The Business Analyst is responsible for requirements gathering, testing, training, and post deployment support. Other desirable traits include the ability to multi-task, excellent communication skills, attentiveness, and adaptability to a changing environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following but are not limited to:

  • Consult with internal customers to identify, analyze, refine, and document business and functional reporting requirements
  • Work in collaboration with internal staff and vendor resources to develop approach, design, and project timelines
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches; ensures the technical solution meets the business objectives
  • Identify requirements for testing, develop test plans, and work with users to develop test scripts
  • Develop and maintain user acceptance testing criteria
  • Execute test scripts as necessary
  • Serve as a liaison between stakeholders and developers

Education/Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Management, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills
  • Advanced technical skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • 3-5 years of business analyst experience
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Expertise in SQL, SSRS and Tableau
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM a plus
  • Prior experience working in Telecom a plus
