Role Overview:

  • As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will report directly to the VP of Enterprise Health Services and work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for supporting our sales organization by proactively identifying, nurturing, and creating new opportunities with prospects. You will be on the frontlines of the go-to-market organization at Podimetrics, acting as the first human contact our prospects have with our organization. The BDR team bridges the gap between Marketing and Strategic Sales to grow our business by impacting one of the most critical KPIs for the business: pipeline revenue. You will learn technical skills and selling skills that will lay the foundation for your career at Podimetrics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Balance responding to interested prospects with proactively identifying new opportunities
  • Use SalesForce, LinkedIn, Zoominfo and other prospecting tools to research accounts, identify key contacts, and craft targeted messaging to effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Align with Strategic Sales Director to work in an assigned regional territory formalizing and supporting sales strategy for Tier 1 prospects, and responsibility for Tier 2 prospects (outreach, engagement, discovery, and introductions, etc)
  • Work with new prospects and current customers to understand their challenges and goals to facilitate meetings with themselves and/or Strategic Sales Directors who can offer support with our offering.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop and refine messaging based on performance

Qualifications

  • Process Orientation/Focus - Being able to follow a specific process and iterate on it for maximum results, is a crucial skill. Detail oriented, organized mindset with an ability to manage time effectively. You must be able to remain focused in the face of many competing interests
  • Curiosity- genuinely curious about people, technology, and business, with excellent listening skills
  • Communication-You must have strong persuasion and negotiation skills and excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and client relationship skills are critical.
  • Technological Savvy - Strong Internet, email, and Microsoft application skills are required. An understanding of Salesforce would be useful.
  • Maturity/Professionalism- You are cool under pressure, professionally mature, and know how to remain collected and focused in a fast-paced, high pressure, dynamic environment.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Health tech and/or health plan knowledge or sales experience is a plus. Desire to pursue a career in sales preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree recommended.
  • 2 years previous experience in Marketing, Sales, Events, or Health Tech
