Membership Sales Manager - Volunteer Position (This is a NON-PAID opportunity that will help you learn and grow in your career)
Project Management Institute (PMI) is a global non-profit association dedicated to advancing the profession of project management. The PMI San Francisco Bay Area Chapter (PMI-SFBAC) is one of the largest PMI chapters with a membership base of over 3000 members and still growing. The chapter is led by volunteers, and roles are open to PMI members. Some of the chapter activities include, but are not limited to: organizing events, regional seminars, and certification programs. Members of PMI-SFBAC enjoy the benefits of participating in exciting events, meeting new peers, and sharing knowledge and expertise.
The Membership Sales Manager reports to the Membership Directory within the Membership team.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a Chapter Membership Plan
- Ensure continued growth through proactive recruiting, including the establishment of measurable goals and the monitoring of success metrics for appropriate action
- Develop and implement a Community Outreach Plan including commercial, not-for-profit, and other professional associations
Customer Service
- Answer general member/non-member information inquiries and other requests for assistance with membership and its benefits
- Support and attend the annual general meeting and all chapter meetings as appropriate
Market Research
- Develop and administer prospect survey
- Analyze and integrate survey feedback for inclusion in the strategic/operational planning
Marketing and Member Engagement:
- Develop and work with Marketing to develop marketing materials for prospects
STRATEGIC AND BUSINESS MANAGEMENT SKILLS: Data Analysis & Reporting Marketing Skills Proficiency in using Survey Tools/Market Research/Demographic Research Proficiency in using PMI Chapter Reporting System (CRS) LEADERSHIP SKILLS: Persuasion/Motivation Skills Public Speaking/Presentation SkillsSkilled in Strategic Planning and Process Execution
