Description

Summary: Responsible for all general accounting functions and supervision of accounting team. Provide support to Controller and CFO for all accounting functions. Upward mobility potential for high performance.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers through prompt response and courteous communication.
  • Manages accounting team and the accounting function of the business, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Performs monthly bank reconciliations of all bank accounts.
  • Making month-end standard journal entries.
  • Reconciling Balance Sheet Accounts.
  • Reviewing General Ledger to ensure accuracy of posting.
  • Preparing month-end payroll journal entry.
  • Assist in preparation/validation of monthly internal financial statements, including breakout P&Ls by clinic location and modalities.
  • Preparing for and supervising annual financial audit.
  • Processing all documents necessary for annual Workers Compensation audit.
  • Gathering data for all Federal, State and County audits.
  • All accounting function for Ancillary companies to include distributions and month-end reconciliations.

Other Functions:

  • Overseeing reconciliation of vendor statements and handling payment complaints or discrepancies.
  • Assist with implementation of new accounting system in the near-term
  • Updating and maintaining Physician Disability Worksheet
  • Updating and maintaining fixed asset worksheets and files
  • Processing Shared Surgery Requests
  • Participating in corporate projects as they pertain to accounting
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA is a plus.

Experience: 2-3 years of Accounting Supervisor or Accounting Manager experience, 5-8 years full charge general ledger accrual accounting or general accounting experience, 2-3 years of public accounting experience preferred.

Skills: Must be highly skilled in Excel, Word, and accounting software applications. Must be capable of prioritizing workload and resolving problems in a timely manner. Accuracy and thoroughness is vital.

  • Problem solvingthe individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully.
  • Full scale accrual accounting, financial statements consolidation (including eliminating entries), accounting system conversion experience a big plus.
  • Planning/organizingthe individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
  • Quality control the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality and applies feedback to improve performance.
  • Quantity meets productivity standards and completes work in a timely manner.
  • Adaptability the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Dependability the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Qualifications


Pay & Benefits Information

This is an exempt position and is not eligible for overtime. The hiring range for this position is $3,076.92 to $4,230.77 per
pay period, paid bi-weekly, or $80k to $110k annualized.
