The Training Specialist is responsible for helping to develop training programs for all services within the operations discipline. You will be responsible for operations training on the plant floor, as well as, classroom and leadership training. This position will also be responsible for coordinating new hire training both on and off the plant floor during the onboarding process. The Training Specialist is expected to uphold and comply with all SOPs, corporate and site specific policies, safety and work rules and OSHA standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in developing curriculum and class schedules to support plant training needs.
- Ensure all onboarding and new hire training is complete.
- Provide one on one training assistance when needed.
- Assist in identifying training needs based on projected production processes, changes, and other factors.
- Plan, develop, and provide training using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, on-the-job training, meetings, conferences, and workshops.
- Assist in the new Hire Process for completing the Operations Basic level training including work order training.
- Assist with Safety Training as needed.
- Analyze training needs to develop new training programs or modify and improve existing programs.
- Help collecting training records and maintaining Skills Matrix for the plants.
- Develop relationships with local colleges and trade schools to bring in house training and apprenticeship programs to the Eastern Missouri region.
- Oversee outside training programs and apply for state financial assistance when applicable.
- Other projects as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of training experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Microsoft office suite experience required; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- The ability to present information in a clear and concise manner. Good presentation skills.

Salary : $48,400 - $61,200
