The Imaging Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Imaging Department.
Required Education: High school graduation and an AS degree in radiological technology, plus the satisfactory completion and graduation from a formal radiologic technology training program at an AMA approved school are required. Current BLS CPR Certification is required.
Experience: Has passed the registry exam given by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT). Must hold and maintain ARRT certificate. Must hold and maintain a California License in Radiology Technology (CRT). Technologists performing mammography must hold and maintain a current California license in mammography and perform the minimum of required number of studies to maintain that license.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must have a working knowledge of radiology, to include CT, mammography, ultrasound, and PACS systems. Experience in Radiology Administration preferred; experience such as Supervisor or Assistant Director of a Radiology Department. Minimum five (5) years of experience in a department that conducts diagnostic and special radiological procedures is preferred. Ability to work with others, at all levels within the organization, and collaborate effectively. Above-average interpersonal, problem-solving, and written and oral communication skills. Must be a team player to all departments, confidential of sensitive data, respectful of all other staff members, considerate of other people’s time, and accountable for work output.
