Plug In America is a growing 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is centrally involved in our nation’s shift to clean-fueled EVs. A staff of passionate professionals, consultants, and volunteers, make up our dynamic team who work on programs focused on government advocacy, consumer and auto dealer outreach and engagement, EV awareness, and member services.

Plug In America is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to help support a variety of functions key to the success of the organization, including:

  • Respond to incoming emails and phone calls
  • Take minutes at board meetings
  • Provide administrative support for events, workshops and meetings
  • Assist the executive director with scheduling
  • Support finance and administrative staff on various tasks as needed
  • Participate in outreach events on behalf of Plug In America

Required Qualifications:

  • Extremely detail-oriented with solid organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to complete assigned work accurately in a professional and timely manner
  • A strong commitment to customer service and team collaboration
  • One year of relevant office or administrative experience
  • Demonstrated experience using the MS Office and Google suite of online tools

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working in the automotive, energy, environmental or renewables sectors
  • Experience providing high levels of customer service support by phone and/or email
  • Familiarity with electric vehicles.

Salary: $20-$22/hour based on candidate experience and geography. Initially,15 hours per week will be needed. This may change over time depending on the flow of work.

Benefits: Because it is part-time, this position is not currently eligible for PIA benefits.

Location: Plug In America is located in Los Angeles, but this position is eligible to work remotely.
