National Account Manager – Job DescriptionThe National Account Manager will be responsible for selling United States Stove’s products to the national distribution channel as well as regional retailers. The National Account Manager will be the primary contact with their assigned accounts and will be responsible for building sales volume through new account acquisition and new product support, and will be responsible for managing and building a national network or independent sales representatives. The candidate must be a team player, able to take and interpret direction, a self-starter, and well organized to keep up with the volume of work required on a daily basis. Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales and margin goals
  • Meet with and develop strong relationships with key personnel at key accounts
  • Negotiate and close deals
  • Evaluate customer products and market trends to identify market opportunities
  • Effectively communicate programs internally within all areas of company operations
  • Forecasting item velocity by month
  • Create high impact sales presentations drawing from wealth of company information
  • Be recognized as an industry expert
  • Assist marketing and management team with developing of marketing and product strategies
  • Recommend opportunities for increased market penetration based on knowledge of customers and territory
  • Perform business reviews of accounts and present them as appropriate to management
  • Represent the company at customer and industry trade events as appropriate
Skills Required:
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Must be goal oriented and a self starter
  • Organization and prioritization skills
  • Strong analytical skills to allow for fact based selling
  • Strong verbal and nonverbal communication skills
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions
  • High level of integrity
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5 Years’ Experience in the Hardware & Home Center Channel
  • Experience selling in the Farm & Home Channel is a plus
This is an integral position requiring the ability to work in a team, consistently, and professionally to coordinate various projects and meet deadlines. In this key position the National Account Manager will be the face of United States Stove to their critical base of customers. The winning candidate must be able to immediately contribute to the overall growth objectives of the company and demonstrate proper organization, a sense of urgency, time management, and a general understanding of company goals are essential to successful performance of this position.Salary is $80-$90K, with bonus of 10-20%, very good benefits alsoThis would be a hybrid situation, but will also need someone to help the VP as he lives out of state.
