Role Summary:

The IT Business Analyst will partner with stakeholders to identify and document gaps and provide business requirements for system functional specifications. They will collaborate with the technical teams to align on appropriate technology approach and aid in configuration, testing, documentation, and implementation of these solutions. Throughout the process, the IT Business Analyst will meet with stakeholders and business partners regularly to verify solutions and train users on results.

Accountable for:

  • Collaborate with business units, management, and vendors. Analyze, develop, and document detailed business requirements and business processes for proposed technical solutions to strategic corporate initiatives.
  • Act as a champion in identifying, developing, and implementing best practices across multiple channels within the organization
  • Document functional requirements and continuous improvements to existing processes
  • Conduct requirements-gathering sessions with numerous stakeholders for what the future-state solution should provide.
  • Perform unit and integration testing for configuration and end to end business processes
  • Partner with business users throughout the process to ensure solutions meet business requirements
  • Conduct reviews of business processes; leads and works with less experienced associates in developing functional optimization strategies and ensures incorporation into strategic roadmaps where applicable
  • Act as liaison between business and IT to support business needs via technical solutions
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
  • Analyze, track, and remediate root causes of defects, and communicate results to partners.
  • Develop, execute and document results of detailed business/user acceptance test scenarios and test cases.
  • Participate in the design of any integration related to assigned functional modules

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology field
  • Minimum 3 years of Business Analysis experience
  • Proficient knowledge in modern office productivity, communication, and collaboration toolsets with a focus on Microsoft tools
  • Proficient in using various business intelligence tools for creating reports and dashboards

  • Strong knowledge and experience with requirement specifications to define scope and system boundaries, recommend alternative methods to achieve complex system requirements
  • Ability to translate business requirements into process and technical specifications
  • Ability to analyze problems, assess multiple options and provide clear recommendations
  • Ability to analyze and translate requirements distinctly
  • Ability to query and interpret data from various data sources Solid understanding of multiple project management methodologies including Agile
  • Project management experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams as a project lead
  • Ability to conduct solution assessment and validation to ensure that functional and technical specifications meet the identified business needs
  • Experience assisting with and/or reviewing test plans and testing methodology to mitigate risks and participate in testing the solution to ensure the solution meets requirements.
  • Understanding of relational databases
  • Ability to develop queries to access data used in analysis
  • Ability to interact with company personnel, build strong relationships at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and understand business imperatives
  • Business knowledge and process design skills
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills are essential
  • Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Personal effectiveness/credibility
