As the Maintenance Superintendent, you are responsible for managing the maintenance staff, buildings and grounds, utility systems, and manufacturing assets. You will use your experience to lead a great team, optimize equipment performance, and improve the Total Predictive Maintenance plan.

The ideal candidate will have experience with tool and die maintenance and repair. Be able to provide meaningful examples of taking a plant from a reactive to a preventative plan using tools such as Total Predictive Maintenance and CMMS systems. Although not a requirement, experience with plastic extrusion is a big plus.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Maintenance leadership, including supervising maintenance staff, assigning work orders, and establishing priorities. Coordinate activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products. Provide training and development opportunities for maintenance staff.
• Improve the Predictive Maintenance Program, bringing records up to date and ensuring the program is appropriately executed. Maintain a detailed maintenance log and report daily maintenance activities.
• Work with the facility operations group to increase reliability while improving plant performance.
• Review new product plans and discuss equipment needs and modifications with design engineers.
• Develop and manage maintenance department budget, including providing breakdowns of labor costs, parts and supplies costs, vendor services, or other expenses. In addition, manage all purchase orders and invoice approvals.
• Ensure safety excellence through leading by example, promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to identify hazards proactively, and implementing the appropriate mitigating strategies based on the risk involved
• Supervises the repair of all types of building, mechanical and structural problems.

Requirements:

• AA or AS in a technical field is preferred. 5 years of General Maintenance experience working within an industrial/manufacturing operation is comparable.
• Minimum Five years of experience leading a maintenance team
• Strong understanding of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Software), PLC Programming, and Electrical and Mechanical Systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing operation with a focus on Reliability Maintenance
• Experience using Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Experience with spend plan management and project justification
• Experience reading mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings
• Highly preferred experience with plastic extrusion or other types of plastic applications.

Pay: $118,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
