PLANNED PARENTHOOD OF WISCONSIN, INC.STATEWIDECHIEF OPERATING OFFICER (COO) At Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin, Inc. We serve over 60,000 patients annually in 22 health centers statewide, making us the largest and most trusted reproductive health care provider in Wisconsin. Our goal is to help keep Wisconsin safe, healthy and strong! This is an excellent opportunity for a Chief Operating Officer (40 hrs. /wk.) at our Jackson Street Administration Office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. PURPOSE OF POSITION:The Chief Operating Officer (COO) leads PPWI’s business and operational strategies in service to the delivery of the highest-quality, efficient, patient care, exceptional customer service, and a secure and modern health system infrastructure. Ensures that internal operations, functions, and programs are consistent with the mission and core values of the agency and of the highest quality when compared to industry standards. As a strategic partner to the CEO, identify business opportunities to protect and grow PPWI’s ability to serve patients and the community. They provide direct leadership, support, and direction to Patient Services, Information Technology, Business Initiatives/Operations, Security, Facilities, and HIPAA Security for the agency consistent with the agency’s overall mission, goals and objectives. Ensures systems are in place to maintain the highest level of compliance. QUALIFICATIONS:Must be committed to the mission and values of Planned Parenthood excellent customer service, and a culture reflecting Planned Parenthood’s commitment to equity, inclusion and belonging. Must demonstrate evidence of broad business acumen in the context of a non-profit healthcare organization. Other qualifications include the following: -History of leadership prioritizing health equity evidenced by operational plans, infrastructures, resource allocation, and program development.-Proven ability to meet deadlines and complete projects on time and on budget. -Demonstrated proficiency in building and overseeing health care information technology infrastructures, including the highest quality privacy and security systems. Experience with EPIC a plus.-Demonstrated understanding of best practices of physical security of people and facilities.-Demonstrated leadership skills, with a proven track record of collaboration, team development and engagement, with an ability to delegate effectively, supporting team members to achieve success.-Ability to translate technical, complex concepts to be coherent to wide audiences.-History of leading creative, resourceful initiatives, conceptualizing and operationalizing innovative solutions to business and environmental challenges and building consensus to support implementation among multiple stakeholders.-Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, and engaged, productive relationships with colleagues.-Ability to manage multiple, large and complex projects and budgets.-Demonstrated vendor relationship and negotiation skills. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:-BA/BS in Business Management, Computer Science, Healthcare, Criminal Justice, Computer Science or a field related to healthcare operations, security – physical or cyber.-Seven years of experience in managing enterprise-wide projects. -Two years of experience working in healthcare operations.-Seven years of supervisory experience-An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired may be considered.SUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The position is predominantly sedentary requiring the ability to sit, bend, stand and walk. May require occasional stooping, reaching, stair-climbing and repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard. Rarely requires kneeling, pushing/pulling and repetitive motions of the feet. Hearing, talking, handling and grasping regularly. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Specific vision conditions include close vision reading. Requires the ability to operate a computer, telephone, fax, copy machine and adding machine or calculator. WORKING CONDITIONS:The position is generally performed in an office environment but involves frequent interruptions. The noise level is generally low to quiet. The work environment characteristics are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations, however, may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform said essential functions. · Long hours, evening and/or weekend hours may be necessary. · This position requires intermittent, sometimes last-minute, statewide travel.
